Programs Descriptions
Mother Goose (0-12 months)
Enjoy an interactive program with your baby. Emphasis is placed on rhymes, songs and stories, which help in the development of your baby's communication, language and literacy skills. Please wear socks as shoes are not suitable in the infant room.
Baby Time (0-12 months)
An
interactive program where parents with infants (birth - 12 months) can learn more about how babies develop in their first year. You and your baby can have fun participating in a variety of activities that explore sight, sound, touch and movement. Please wear socks as shoes are not suitable in the infant room.
*Baby and Me(0-12 months)
Are you 0-12 months old? Bring your parents to this educational program where they will have fun and learn. They can socialize with other parents, while discussing topics such as how you develop, how to keep you safe, healthy, and anything else they need to know about you. You will remain in the room to play with other babies (or have a nap). (Six week registered program)
*Infant Massage(0-12 months)
This program teaches parents massage techniques that can positively affect your baby health and strength your bond with your child. Registration is limited so please registered early to avoid disappointment.(Five week registered program)
Peel Manor Intergenerational Drop-In
This program brings together parents/caregivers, children, and seniors. 525 Main Street North (South of Bovaird)
Family Time (0-6 years)
This program is for families with children up to the age of six. Great for grandparents, daycare providers or parents who want to bring more than one child to the same program. This non-structured program will allow you to interact with children at different activity centres.
Circle Story Time (0-6 years)
This program provides early exposure to language, music and will help develop skills that improve a child's ability to communicate, think things through and make decisions. Emphasis will be placed on building your child's ability to socialize, listen and communicate with others.
Preschool Programs
Toddler Time (12-30 months)
This program encourages children to express themselves using their creative and imaginative skills. Each child has a unique way of expressing him or herself through art. Parents and young artists are introduced to different materials and techniques each week. So Toddlers, let's get messy, have fun, and make some "fridge-worthy" creations.
Move & Groove (18 months - 6 years)
This program encourages children to express themselves through music and movement. They can be creative with rhythms, beats, sounds and dance. Come out and express yourself!
Terrific Tots (31-48 months)
An age appropriate program for 31 - 48 month olds to promote cognitive growth and enhance development. Children will be able to work on social, cognitive, language, physical, math and science skills with their parents/caregiver.
Let's Create (3-6 years)
Open your children up to an exciting world of creativity and imagination. This program will keep your child happily occupied with a wide variety of hands-on projects to make and take home.
Open Door (0-6 years)
The centre may be used at indicated times and dates on the calendar for Open Door, parents can interact with their child using the equipment provided. There will be no staff in the room and parent/caregivers are responsible for cleaning up.
*Nobody's Perfect (0-6 years)
A weekly parenting workshop for parents with children birth-6 years. Topics focus on healthy parenting skills, how to create a safe home for you children, while discovering you strengths and abilities as a parent. In the meanwhile connecting with other parents for support and help.
*Information Network Series
A weekly
educational program for parents of children birth to 6 years. Topics focus on healthy child development, parenting, discipline, and family issues, etc. Limited childcare is provided so please register early.

Read & Play (0-6 years)
This drop in allows families to interact with their children birth to six years. Several activities are set up for children to explore new things. At the end of the program the librarian will have a circle story time with the children.
Young Parent Program (0-6 years), Brampton YMCA
This weekly program is for Young parents and caregiver with children (0-6 year). Topics are focus on healthy child development, parenting skills, discipline and family issues, etc.
*Early Literacy Specialist
An Early Literacy Specialist is available to discuss and answer any question that you may have about supporting you child's learning.(Please call to book for an appointment)
Peel Children's Centre
A Preschool Consultant is available to discuss and answer any questions parents may have about the behavioural development of their preschoolers. (Please call to book for an appointment
Parent Resource Library
BNRC offers a wide variety of infromation about child development, community resources, magazines, and pamphlets. Parents can also access information on the internet for parenting related topic.Educational books and video are available for loan from the Ontario Early Years Centre site:

*In order to promote adult/child interaction our policy requires that registered programs should have one adult for each child. (Multiple birth children excluded)
