These services assist Newcomers to Canada (people who have been in Canada for less than 5 years or who are not Canadian citizens) adjust to their new society.
Settlement workers can assist Newcomers with: applications for permanent residence, health benefits, seniors benefits, child care; affidavits and document translation; family reunion and sponsorship applications; housing, transportation, and legal counseling referrals; and settlement information and orientation. Workshops and meetings also provided throughout the year.
