Family Self-Guided StoryWalk at the Charcoal Trail, Stockbridge

Enjoy a 1-mile walk and great views while reading an adventure story about three intrepid young female explorers who set out to conquer the outdoors in their local forest.

The Hike by Alison Farrel will be on display for a self-guided adventure from Saturday, December 11th through Sunday, January 2nd (dawn to dusk) at the Charcoal Trail at Yokun Ridge reserve.

The Hike celebrates how fun and rewarding it is to explore nature in your own backyard! This book is a must-have for budding scientists, best friends, and all adventurers in preschool and kindergarten.

While the audience of the book is 3-5 years, the content is great for all ages- even adults!

For your outing please bring water, wear sturdy footwear (consider snowshoes and/or micro-spikes) and bring layers.
