Explore Clam River Preserve’s Newest Trail.

CLAM RIVER RESERVE

Difficulty: Moderate (moderate pace, moderate elevation changes)

Description: Join BNRC staff to hike the newest section of trail at the Clam River Preserve.  Pass old farm ruins, walk through dark Hemlock forests and see beautiful views of the Clam River from high along its banks.  This looped hike is 1.7 miles with moderate elevation changes.  Please bring water, a snack, and wear sturdy footwear.

Directions: From Great Barrington, take Rt. 23 towards Monterey.  Bear right onto Rt. 57 East towards New Marlborough.  Travel through New Marlborough, staying on Rt. 57.  Immediately after passing Town Hall Road, take a left onto Hammertown Road.  Travel north on Hammertown Road for 0.6 miles, take a right into the pull off across from the white house.
