Great Barrington

Formerly the property of Rising Mill, this small parcel was the site of a small baseball field for a few years.
It looks abandoned now, but we’ll ensure it’s a real community resource in the future.

This land, and all of the present-day Berkshires, are the ancestral homeland of the Mohican people who were forcibly displaced to Wisconsin by European colonization. These lands continue to be of great significance to the Stockbridge-Munsee Mohican Nation today. To learn more visit

If you’ve wondered why the baseball diamond on Park Street/Route 183 in Housatonic was so… rough, here’s the answer: The property changed hands several times until it came to rest with us. We’re still digesting it, but perhaps this parcel will be a ball field again.
