Do you currently lead hikes, or do you aspire to? Do you want to deepen your knowledge of the natural world to share with others or to enhance your own enjoyment of the Berkshires?
Join Berkshire Natural Resources Council (BNRC) and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at BCC for a 6-session course on naturalist interpretation (relevant to what is seen in the Berkshire outdoors).
Topics to be discussed include the geological events that shaped our landscape, land use history, climate impacts, basics for identifying common flora and fauna, and the interconnectedness of it all. The information presented and discussed will be offered at a beginner-friendly level. Participants will be given a chance to put their learning to use during the in-person sessions of the class.
